When people ask me and my family about my ears, here are some examples of interactions 

How come Phoebe has a little ear?
Why is her ear so small?
Answer: "She was born with a little ear. It's called Microtia"

What is that? (hearing aid)
Answer: It's her hearing aid. It helps her hear better.

Can I touch it? 
Answer:  No because it can break easily. 
You can have a closer look while Phoebe has it on.  She will be happy to know you're curious about it.
